Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the conditions under which refunds may be issued for paid contests hosted on the ReelStar platform.
This policy is framed in accordance with the Indian Contract Act, 1872, applicable consumer protection principles, and other relevant laws of India.
1. General Policy
ReelStar operates skill-based paid contests. Entry fees collected are used for prize pool creation, technology infrastructure, and operational costs. Therefore, refunds are permitted only in limited and clearly defined circumstances.
2. Refund Eligibility – Before Link Submission
A participant shall be eligible for a refund if the entry fee has been successfully paid but the participant has NOT submitted any video link on the ReelStar platform.
3. Refund Eligibility – Contest Cancellation
If a contest is cancelled, suspended, or terminated by ReelStar due to technical failure, legal requirements, force majeure events, or operational reasons, eligible participants may receive a refund as per this policy.
4. Non-Refundable Cases
No refund shall be issued if a participant has submitted a video link, violated contest rules, engaged in unfair practices, provided false information, or has been disqualified for any reason.
5. Refund Deductions
All approved refunds shall be processed after deduction of applicable GST, statutory taxes, payment gateway charges, and transaction processing fees. Only the net refundable amount shall be returned to the participant.
6. Mode of Refund
Refunds shall be processed only through the original mode of payment, such as UPI or bank transfer. Cash refunds or alternate modes are not supported.
7. Refund Timeline
Once a refund request is approved, the refund shall be processed within 7 to 10 working days. ReelStar shall not be responsible for delays caused by banks, payment gateways, or intermediary service providers.
8. Taxes & Compliance
Tax deductions, if any, shall be made in accordance with Indian tax laws. ReelStar does not provide tax advice, and participants are responsible for their own tax compliance.
9. Discretion & Abuse Prevention
ReelStar reserves the right to reject refund requests that are found to be fraudulent, repetitive, abusive, or intended to misuse the refund system.
10. Limitation of Liability
ReelStar shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from refund delays, payment gateway failures, or external system issues.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This Refund Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts located in India.
