These Terms & Conditions govern the access, registration, and participation of users on the ReelStar platform and constitute a legally binding agreement.
This agreement is governed by the Indian Contract Act, 1872, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and all other applicable laws of India.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, registering, or participating in any contest hosted on ReelStar, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy.
2. Eligibility
Participation is open only to Indian citizens who are 18 years of age or above and are legally competent to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. A valid bank account or UPI ID is mandatory for prize payouts.
3. Restricted Participants (Conflict of Interest)
Founders, directors, employees, workers, contractors, agents, representatives of ReelStar, and their immediate family members including parents, siblings, spouse, and children are strictly prohibited from participating in any contest hosted on the ReelStar platform.
4. Restricted States & Legal Compliance
Participation is void where prohibited by law. Users residing in or accessing the platform from the following states are not permitted to participate due to local legal restrictions on online prize-based competitions: Assam, Nagaland, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Tamil Nadu. Users are solely responsible for ensuring that participation is lawful in their jurisdiction.
5. Nature of Contest (Skill-Based)
All contests on ReelStar are skill-based competitions. Results are determined using a proprietary system score derived from publicly available metrics including likes, comments, engagement, and shares. No element of chance, lottery, betting, or gambling is involved.
6. Participation Process
To participate, users must register on the ReelStar website, pay the applicable entry fee, upload original content on a supported public platform such as YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook, and submit the public video link within the defined submission window.
7. System Score & Ranking Methodology
Rankings are generated using automated systems based on system score analysis. ReelStar reserves the right to modify, enhance, or secure its scoring algorithms to maintain fairness, prevent manipulation, and ensure platform integrity. ReelStar’s decision shall be final and binding.
8. Entry Fee & Revenue Model
Entry fees are governed by the Refund Policy. Seventy percent (70%) of the total entry pool is allocated toward prize distribution, while thirty percent (30%) is retained by ReelStar as platform, technology, and operational fees.
9. Prizes & Payouts
Prizes are distributed rank-wise and paid via UPI or bank transfer only. Any applicable taxes, including TDS under the Income Tax Act, 1961, shall be deducted or borne by the winner as per law.
10. Fair Play & Disqualification
Participants must not engage in unfair practices including but not limited to bots, fake engagement, plagiarism, misleading content, or violation of community standards. ReelStar reserves the right to disqualify such participants without refund.
11. Content Ownership & License
Participants retain ownership of their content. By submitting a link, users grant ReelStar a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to reference the content strictly for analytics, verification, promotional references, and contest operations.
12. Platform Independence Disclaimer
ReelStar is an independent platform and is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Google, Meta, or any other social media platform.
13. Limitation of Liability
ReelStar shall not be liable for platform outages, metric fluctuations, algorithm changes by third-party platforms, payment gateway delays, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
14. Suspension & Termination
ReelStar reserves the right to suspend or terminate user access, participation, or accounts without prior notice if these Terms or applicable laws are violated.
15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts located in India.
